Collagen is used as a daily supplement by many people across the globe.
Its a source of protein and amino acids, which when broken down in your body does a lot of good things.
But thats a bit vague.. let us break down for you whats so good about this powder in more details because we know its a hot topic over on our Facebook page:
So what is it exactly?
The Grounded Collagen powder is made with pure hydrolysed powder; a natural source of Protein. But that’s just its science-y name – we like to call it your body’s new best friend. Why? …..
Collagen is a natural protein AND the most abundant one in the human body. You can find it within our connective tissues such as our muscles, skin, blood, bones, cartilage and ligaments. (It makes up 75-80% of our skin! Wow)
Collagen helps to:
- Promotes skin elasticity
- Holds together your bones and muscles
- Protects your organs
- Provides structure to joints and tendons
So its pretty important and whilst out body naturally produces collagen, this slows down with age.
So by taking this collagen powder daily can help to:
Ease Joint Pain:
As your cartilage weakens and deteriorates with age, you may start to feel stiff, achy joints. It’s possible that upping your collagen intake may help reduce joint pain and alleviate symptoms of arthritis.
Reverse Skin Ageing:
One of the most well-known benefits of collagen is its ability to promote glowing, vibrant skin. This essential protein provides elasticity to the skin, helping it to appear more youthful and healthy.
But as you get older and collagen production declines, fine lines, loose skin, and dryness can occur. So taking collagen daily can help support your skin and reverse the signs of ageing.
Build Muscle and Burn Fat:
Collagen is a major component of muscle tissue, so it should come as no surprise that it can have a big impact when it comes to building muscle mass. Plus, collagen also contains a concentrated amount of glycine, an amino acid involved in the synthesis of creatine. This can provide muscles with the fuel needed to power through your workout. Therefore, taking collagen daily when used in conjunction with an active lifestyle will help torch fat and support muscle growth.
May reduce Cellulite:
Besides keeping your skin healthy and glowing, collagen may also help improve the appearance of stubborn cellulite. Cellulite is when the layer of fat under the skin pushes up against the connective tissue, creating a dimpled or lumpy appearance on the skin. So taking collage daily may help to improve skin texture and waviness.
May improve Digestive Health:
Collagen is in the gut’s connective tissue and can help support and strengthen the protective lining of your digestive tract. This is critically important because alterations in the barrier function of your intestine, also known as leaky gut syndrome, can allow particles to pass into the bloodstream. This may result in inflammation. Collagen helps to ‘plug’ the gut and heals it at the same time.
Stimulates Collagen Production:
- Studies found that Simply eating Collagen can help stimulate the production of more collagen in the long term by increasing itself in the bloodstream. This delays the effects of ageing and wrinkles.
No preparation is needed to use the collagen powder simply remove the freshness seal, pop open and scoop into your vessel of choice. We would advice using a measuring spoon so you can get the right amount of powder before using. The easiest way to use the collagen powder is by blending it into a smoothie, sprinkling onto your cereal or adding it to your drink of choice. We’ve included some recipes below which help you get creative and gives you a wide choice of options making it easy to add it into your daily routine.
